Craft Circle Tuesday 7th August

This is a bit of a Claytons craft circle post today.  Circumstances have conspired against me.  For one thing, the painters are here and half the house is under plastic covers.  We're getting the window frames in the older parts of the house painted.  Hubby did all the walls, doors and jambs when we moved in but skipped the old sash-style windows.  Today their time has come.

I managed to get the camera out from under wraps, only to find that it has a flat battery. *Shakes head*.  Yes, one of those days.  I'm wondering around kind of lost, unable to do much of what I would normally be doing.  School work is also being hindered.

I have brought the knitting into the 'safe' zone.  It's funny, I don't feel like doing it while the painters are here. Is that silly?  I feel like I should be doing something more 'worthwhile' or making more of a visible effort to 'school' the kids.   It's quite ridiculous but it comes of having my home invaded.  My 'tradies' are family friends and lovely people, it's just me feeling like a fish out of water; kind of like not knowing where to put your hands at an interview or something.

So there isn't any craft happening here today; not much of anything at all.  I think I'll stay here and tidy my emails and process some things in my paperwork In-Basket.

If you've been more creative than I have, join the circle by blogging it and posting your link below.

  1. I know exactly how you feel. Mr TH is currently rebuilding a wardrobe so the upstairs is in complete disarray. I have fought the urge to get the sewing machine out due to the dust (but I do miss my sewing!)
